This is a combination regimen of three drugs: - **Everolimus (RAD001)** is an orally administered small molecule inhibitor of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), a serine/threonine kinase that regulates cell growth, proliferation, and survival. Everolimus forms a complex with FK506-binding protein-12 to inhibit mTORC1 activity. It is used as an immunosuppressant in organ transplantation and as targeted therapy for various cancers including renal cell carcinoma and breast cancer[5][6][8]. - **Docetaxel** is a taxane-class chemotherapy agent that promotes microtubule assembly while inhibiting their disassembly, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. - **Cisplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug that causes DNA crosslinking and damage resulting in apoptosis. The combination of these agents has been investigated for synergistic antitumor effects in various solid tumors by targeting different pathways involved in cancer cell survival and proliferation.
