Overview

EVM-301 refers to a **series of next-generation neuroplastogenic small-molecule compounds** developed by Enveric Biosciences. These molecules are designed to promote neuroplasticity with minimal or no hallucinogenic effects, differentiating them from classical psychedelic drugs. The EVM301 Series compounds, including leading candidate EB-003, exert **partial agonism at the serotonin 5-HT2A receptor**, and have additional activity at the 5-HT1A receptor. Preclinical data demonstrates the potential of these compounds to treat difficult-to-treat central nervous system disorders—specifically **depression, anxiety, and addiction**—by promoting neuronal structural plasticity and behavioral recovery in animal models. The most advanced compounds show favorable pharmacokinetic properties, blood-brain barrier permeability, reduced head-twitch response (a marker of hallucinogenic effects in rodents), and acceptable toxicological profiles. All development is preclinical as of early 2024[3][4][5][6].
