Overview

EVM18001 is an autologous, dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target both B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19. Developed by Ever-More Biopharmaceutical in collaboration with Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, it is being investigated for the treatment of refractory autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), myasthenia gravis (MG), and systemic sclerosis (SSc). By targeting both CD19, which is expressed on B cells, and BCMA, which is expressed on plasma cells, EVM18001 aims to achieve a more comprehensive depletion of the B-cell lineage and pathogenic antibody-producing cells compared to single-target therapies. This approach is intended to eliminate the source of autoantibodies and potentially induce long-term drug-free remission in patients with severe, treatment-resistant autoimmune conditions.
