Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EVOCellic is an allogeneic cell therapy developed by EVOMEDIS for the treatment of wounds, including chronic wounds and deep dermal burns. It consists of a tissue-engineered skin substitute composed of donor-derived (allogeneic) keratinocytes. These cells are preserved using a patented process and act as the active component by releasing essential growth factors and cytokines when applied to the wound site. This mechanism stimulates the skin's natural regeneration process and promotes faster, more effective healing. EVOCellic has received Orphan Drug Designation from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the treatment of partial deep dermal and full-thickness burns.
