Evogam

Evogam is a 16% subcutaneous formulation of human normal immunoglobulin G (IgG) prepared from pooled human plasma, with at least 98% of the protein content as intact IgG and an IgG subclass distribution closely matching normal human plasma. It provides passive immunity by supplying a broad spectrum of antibodies against infectious agents and is used as long‑term replacement therapy to restore and maintain normal IgG trough levels in patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases and symptomatic secondary hypogammaglobulinaemia. The product is stabilized with glycine, virus-inactivated and nanofiltered, and is administered by subcutaneous infusion, allowing home-based chronic treatment while avoiding high peak IgG levels associated with intravenous immunoglobulin.
