Overview

HTBA3071 (evolitizumab) is a conditionally active monoclonal antibody targeting Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Associated Protein 4 (CTLA-4), an immune checkpoint receptor. Developed by Himalaya Therapeutics using the Conditionally Active Biologics (CAB) technology platform, the antibody is engineered to bind its target preferentially in the unique microenvironment of tumors (such as low pH), which is intended to improve the safety profile by reducing systemic immune-related adverse events. By blocking the interaction between CTLA-4 and its ligands (CD80/CD86), evolitizumab enhances anti-tumor T-cell activation and proliferation. It is currently in Phase 1/2 clinical development for the treatment of various solid tumors, including melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
