Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Evopep-D PTH is an oral formulation of parathyroid hormone (PTH) developed by Bhami's Research Laboratory using its proprietary Evopep-D delivery platform. The Evopep platform is designed to facilitate the oral administration of biologics, such as peptides and proteins, by protecting them from gastrointestinal degradation and enhancing absorption. Evopep-D PTH acts as an agonist of the parathyroid hormone 1 receptor (PTH1R), mimicking the action of endogenous PTH to regulate calcium and phosphate homeostasis and stimulate bone formation. It is currently being investigated in preclinical studies for the treatment of osteoporosis and hypoparathyroidism.
