Overview
EVOSKIN PSMC is a topical cream formulated primarily from Évaux thermal spring water, which is naturally rich in lithium, developed for the prevention and management of hand-foot syndrome (HFS) associated with chemotherapy, particularly oral capecitabine. Its mechanism of action is not fully elucidated, but its utility arises from its moisturizing and soothing properties, which help dissipate erythema, relieve pain, and reduce blistering and peeling in affected patients. EVOSKIN PSMC has been evaluated for reducing the incidence and severity of HFS in cancer patients undergoing capecitabine chemotherapy, showing a statistically significant reduction in severe HFS compared to physiological saline cream[1][3].
