Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**EVPOME** is an autologous, tissue-engineered oral mucosal graft developed for intraoral soft-tissue reconstruction. It is manufactured by expanding a patient's oral keratinocytes from a small oral biopsy and culturing them on an acellular dermal matrix scaffold to generate a keratinized oral mucosal equivalent. The graft acts as a living soft-tissue replacement rather than through a discrete receptor-mediated pharmacologic mechanism. It has been evaluated in Phase 2 studies for repair of mucogingival and other oral soft-tissue defects, including restoration of keratinized mucosa around dental implants and vestibuloplasty after mandibular reconstruction.
