EVT801 is a first-in-class, highly selective small molecule inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR3), developed for the treatment of solid tumors. By specifically targeting and inhibiting VEGFR3 tyrosine kinase, EVT801 blocks both angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis—processes critical for tumor growth and metastasis—thereby reducing tumor nutrient supply, stabilizing vasculature, decreasing hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment, and limiting metastatic spread. Additionally, EVT801 has demonstrated the ability to modulate the immune microenvironment by increasing T-cell infiltration into tumors and reducing immunosuppressive cytokines and cells. This mechanism may enhance responses to immuno-oncology therapies. Preclinical studies have shown potent antitumor activity across a broad range of cancer types with evidence of synergy when combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors. The drug is orally administered once or twice daily and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials primarily focused on advanced solid tumors including high-grade serous ovarian cancer[1][2][3][4][5][6].
