EVX-05 is an off-the-shelf (non-personalized) therapeutic cancer vaccine candidate currently in the research and optimization stage for the treatment of glioblastoma. Developed by Evaxion A/S using its proprietary AI-Immunology platform, the vaccine targets endogenous retrovirus (ERV)-derived antigens that are shared among glioblastoma patients. This approach differs from personalized neoantigen vaccines by utilizing a standardized set of antigens identified through AI analysis of tumor-specific ERV expression. EVX-05 employs the same ERV-targeting modality as Evaxion's acute myeloid leukemia (AML) vaccine candidate, EVX-04. The company is collaborating with the Duke University School of Medicine to lead initial clinical investigations for the program.
