Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EVX-B3 is a preclinical, AI-designed bacterial vaccine candidate developed by Evaxion Biotech in collaboration with MSD (Merck & Co., Inc.). The vaccine targets an undisclosed bacterial pathogen associated with repeated infections and increasing incidence, for which no preventive or curative options currently exist. The antigen discovery and design phases have been completed using Evaxion’s proprietary AI-Immunology platform, which leverages artificial intelligence to identify novel immunogenic targets. The mechanism of action is immunostimulation—EVX-B3 is designed to elicit a targeted immune response against the specific pathogen. As of mid-2025, the program remains in preclinical development, with MSD holding an option to license and further develop the candidate[1][2][4][5].
