Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ewing Sarcoma Immunotherapy is a pre-clinical mRNA-based therapeutic being developed by CancerVax. It utilizes a proprietary "Smart mRNA" platform encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to target Ewing sarcoma. The treatment's unique mechanism of action involves "disguising" cancer cells to express antigens associated with common childhood diseases, such as measles and chickenpox. By presenting these viral markers (referred to as Marker1 and Marker2) on the surface of tumor cells, the therapy aims to trigger a potent immune response by leveraging existing immune memory. The program is currently in the pre-clinical stage, with plans to initiate pre-IND animal studies in 2026.
