EX109 is a preclinical-stage bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) developed by Guangzhou Excelmab for the treatment of gastric cancer. The therapeutic is designed to simultaneously target Mucin 17 (MUC17), a cell surface glycoprotein frequently overexpressed in gastric malignancies, and the CD3 subunit of the T-cell receptor complex. By bridging these two targets, EX109 facilitates the formation of an immunological synapse, leading to the localized activation of T cells and subsequent cytotoxic elimination of MUC17-positive tumor cells.
