Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EXOSTEO01 is an investigational, RNA-enhanced exosome therapeutic under development by ConvEyXO for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The therapy is designed to address the root causes of degenerative joint disease by reducing inflammation, restoring cellular balance, and promoting tissue repair. EXOSTEO01 utilizes exosomes derived from an immortalized, single-donor Wharton's-jelly mesenchymal stem cell line. These exosomes are loaded with therapeutic RNA or miRNA cargo using ConvEyXO's patented microfluidic-based mechanoporation technology, which temporarily increases mechanical porosity to allow payload absorption without compromising the natural therapeutic properties of the vesicles. EXOSTEO01 is currently in preclinical development.
