Overview

CDK-002 (exoSTING) is an investigational drug designed for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors. It consists of exosomes loaded with a small-molecule STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes) agonist and is engineered to express PTGFRN on their surface. The drug is administered via direct intratumoral injection, where it preferentially targets antigen-presenting cells such as monocytes by binding to the STING pathway, thereby activating innate immune responses against cancer cells. This approach aims to attract immune system cells into the tumor microenvironment and stimulate anti-tumor immunity while minimizing systemic exposure. The primary developer was Codiak BioSciences, which filed for bankruptcy in March 2023[1][2][3][4][5][6][8].
