Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Experimental Dentifrice 2** is an investigational Haleon potassium nitrate dentifrice evaluated for removal of extrinsic dental stain. The formulation designated ED2 contained 5% sodium tripolyphosphate and 1% micronized alumina with abrasive silica, in addition to potassium nitrate, and was designed to provide daily-use stain removal and tooth-shade improvement while retaining an anti-dentin-hypersensitivity dentifrice profile. In an 8-week randomized, controlled clinical study, ED2 was compared with a regular fluoride dentifrice in participants with extrinsic dental stain.
