Overview
EXT02 (also known as CannGros) is a standardized botanical extract of medicinal cannabis developed and distributed by DanCann Pharma. It is based on the Bedrocan formulation, a well-established standardized cannabis strain characterized by high levels of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, approximately 22%) and low levels of cannabidiol (CBD, <1%). The product is intended for therapeutic use within the Danish Pilot Programme on Medicinal Cannabis, targeting conditions such as chronic pain, multiple sclerosis-related spasticity, and chemotherapy-induced nausea. EXT02 acts primarily as an agonist at the Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) and Cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2), modulating the endocannabinoid system to provide analgesic and anti-spasmodic effects.
