Overview

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) from stem cells, developed by the Vinmec Center for Stem Cells and Gene Technology, represent a cell-free regenerative medicine platform. These vesicles, including exosomes and microvesicles, are nano-sized membrane-bound particles secreted by stem cells that carry a complex cargo of signaling molecules such as microRNAs, growth factors, and lipids. By delivering these mediators to recipient cells, EVs mimic the paracrine effects of stem cells, promoting tissue repair, immunomodulation, and skin rejuvenation without the risks associated with live cell transplantation. The program is currently in preclinical development, targeting aesthetic applications and a variety of degenerative or inflammatory diseases.
