Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ExtraGraft is a bone substitute biomaterial developed by Silvestre Labs for the treatment of bone defects and orthopedic reconstruction. It is a composite material consisting of 75% bovine hydroxyapatite and 25% type I collagen. The hydroxyapatite component provides an osteoconductive scaffold with physicochemical properties similar to human bone, facilitating cell migration and bone remodeling. The collagen component enhances the material's handling properties, allowing it to be presented as moldable cylinders for surgical implantation. It is designed to be placed directly into bone voids to support new bone formation.
