Overview

EXV-802 is a next-generation, nanobody-derived (VHH) neutralizing antibody developed by ExeVir Bio for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. It is designed to target highly conserved epitopes on the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, ensuring broad-spectrum activity against evolving variants, including Omicron and its sub-variants. The molecule's small size and high stability, characteristic of camelid-derived nanobodies, allow for potent viral neutralization and potential delivery via inhalation or systemic injection. EXV-802 represents an optimization of the company's lead candidate XVR011, engineered to enhance potency and resistance to viral escape.
