EYD-001

EYD-001 is a highly selective and potent, orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of transforming growth factor-beta activated kinase 1 (TAK1). Developed by EydisBio, it targets the TAK1 pathway, which plays a central role in inflammation and fibrosis through the TGF-beta signaling cascade. Preclinical studies have shown that EYD-001 significantly reduces dermal thickening and p‑TAK1 expression in animal models of systemic sclerosis and decreases fibroinflammatory gene expression in patient-derived skin fibroblasts. The drug has received FDA Orphan Drug Designation for systemic sclerosis, a rare autoimmune disease characterized by fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Additional preclinical development is ongoing for indications such as rheumatoid arthritis, glioblastoma multiforme, arthralgia, and systemic lupus erythematosus[1][3][4][5][9].
