Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eye Solace drops is a generic ophthalmic solution containing a combination of five active ingredients: sodium chloride, boric acid, chlorobutanol, chlorpheniramine, and zinc sulphate. This multi-component formulation is designed to address various eye conditions, primarily by reducing swelling, providing antiseptic and astringent effects, and alleviating allergic symptoms. Sodium chloride acts as an osmotic agent to help reduce corneal edema. Boric acid and zinc sulphate offer mild antiseptic and astringent properties, contributing to eye cleansing and protection. Chlorobutanol serves as a preservative and provides mild local anesthetic and antiseptic effects. Chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine, targets allergic reactions by blocking histamine H1 receptors, thereby reducing itching and redness associated with ocular allergies. The combination aims to provide comprehensive relief for irritated and allergic eyes.
