Eye90 microspheres are permanent implantable radiopaque glass microspheres containing yttrium-90 (Y-90), a radioactive isotope. They are used for internal radiation brachytherapy in the treatment of liver tumors, specifically unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). The radiopaque property allows direct visualization of the microsphere distribution during administration via fluoroscopy and post-treatment imaging such as CT, enabling more accurate dosimetry and immediate feedback on treatment delivery. The device is delivered via catheter to tumor vasculature under imaging guidance[2][3][7].
