Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eyebon W Vitamin Premium (also known as Aibon W Vitamin Premium) is a preservative-free, pink-colored over-the-counter (OTC) eyewash solution developed by Kobayashi Pharmaceutical in Japan. Classified as a 3rd-Class OTC drug, the formulation contains a combination of three vitamins—pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), and d-alpha-tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E)—along with amino acids. It is specifically designed to mechanically wash away foreign bodies, dust, sweat, and allergens from the ocular surface, thereby preventing eye diseases and relieving symptoms like itching and irritation. The product is notable for being free of common preservatives such as benzalkonium chloride and parabens, making it suitable for frequent use, including by contact lens wearers (after lens removal). Clinical evaluation has suggested its efficacy in protecting the ocular surface from environmental pollutants and improving dry eye-related quality of life.
