Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EyeLief is a preformed, biodegradable implant developed by Re-Vana Therapeutics for sustained intraocular drug delivery. Composed of a photocrosslinked polymeric matrix, it is designed to be injected into the eye using narrow gauge needles. The implant can achieve high loading and sustained release (6+ months) of both small molecule and biologic drugs. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its safety and tolerability following intravitreal and intracameral administration, with no significant irritation or inflammatory response observed over six months. The technology aims to address various ocular diseases by providing customizable release profiles for different therapeutic needs.
