EYP-2301 is a proprietary formulation of razuprotafib, a small molecule TIE-2 (TEK receptor tyrosine kinase) agonist, delivered using EyePoint Pharmaceuticals’ sustained-release Durasert E™ technology. The drug is being developed as a novel mechanism of action therapy for serious retinal diseases, with the aim to improve outcomes by activating the TIE-2 pathway and stabilizing retinal vasculature. Its primary indication under investigation is wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD). As of December 2023, it remains in preclinical development[1][2][3][4][5].
