Overview

Ezabenlimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on immune cells. As an immune checkpoint inhibitor, it blocks the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, thereby enhancing T-cell mediated immune responses against cancer cells. Ezabenlimab is being developed primarily for the treatment of various advanced solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Its mechanism of action is similar to other PD-1 inhibitors such as pembrolizumab and nivolumab. The drug has shown promising antitumor activity in early-phase clinical trials across multiple cancer types, including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer, soft tissue sarcomas, neuroendocrine tumors, liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), pancreatic cancer, head and neck cancers, triple-negative breast cancer, biliary tract cancers, glioblastoma, gastric/gastroesophageal junction cancers among others[2][5][6][7]. Ezabenlimab is administered intravenously[6][7].
