Overview

F-102 is an ophthalmic drug candidate being developed by Fera Pharmaceuticals. It is a hydrocortisone-based formulation, specifically an ointment, intended for the treatment of various eye diseases. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that acts as an anti-inflammatory agent by binding to glucocorticoid receptors, thereby reducing the production of inflammatory mediators. While a Phase 2 clinical trial for allergic conjunctivitis was terminated, the program has received Orphan Drug designation and is currently in early development or preclinical stages for broader ophthalmic indications.
