Drug intelligence / Profile preview
F125 is a preclinical-stage regenerative therapy being developed by AscentX Medical for the treatment of fecal incontinence (FI). The product consists of injectable microspheres designed to act as a scaffold for tissue engineering. Upon injection into the anal sphincter or surrounding tissues, the microspheres stimulate the growth of fibroblasts and the production of autologous collagen. This process leads to the regeneration of functional tissue and provides a long-term bulking effect to improve sphincter control and reduce incontinent episodes. F125 is part of a broader pipeline of microsphere-based products developed by AscentX Medical that are regulated as medical devices but function through biological tissue regeneration mechanisms.
