F1901 is a small molecule therapeutic candidate being developed by FindImmune, a French biopharmaceutical start-up based at the Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus. Identified through a research platform focused on enhancing the efficacy of radiotherapy, F1901 is designed to induce immunogenic cell death (ICD) in tumor cells. It specifically targets and eliminates irradiated cells by triggering atypical cell death and the release of immunogenic signals, which converts treatment-resistant tumors into immune-sensitive ones and promotes an 'in situ' vaccination effect. Administered via intratumoral injection, F1901 is primarily being developed for the treatment of solid tumors. As a potentially repurposed or repositioned compound, its development path may be accelerated by existing safety and toxicity data.
