F200

F200 is a small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) currently under development by Shanghai Genomics, a subsidiary of GNI Group. CDK9 is a critical component of the positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) complex, which regulates the elongation phase of transcription by RNA polymerase II. By targeting CDK9, F200 is designed to modulate the expression of genes involved in inflammatory and fibrotic processes. The drug is primarily being positioned for the treatment of respiratory diseases, where CDK9-mediated transcriptional control is thought to play a role in disease progression. It is currently in the early stages of research and development.
