Drug intelligence / Profile preview
F8IL10 (also known as Dekavil) is a fully human recombinant fusion protein that combines the antibody fragment F8 with the anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10 (IL-10). The F8 antibody targets the extra-domain A of fibronectin (ED-A), which is abundantly expressed in inflamed tissues such as those found in rheumatoid arthritis. By delivering IL-10 directly to sites of inflammation via this targeting mechanism, F8IL10 aims to maximize local immunosuppressive effects while minimizing systemic exposure. The drug has been developed primarily for rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. It has been evaluated in combination with methotrexate and as monotherapy via intravenous and intra-articular administration[3][4][5].
