Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FA-30 is a synthetic small molecule derivative of ferulic acid, a natural phenolic compound found in various plants and commonly used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Developed as a potential treatment for cervical cancer, FA-30 has demonstrated the ability to inhibit cancer cell proliferation and trigger programmed cell death (apoptosis). Multi-omics investigations have identified that its mechanism of action involves significant alterations to metabolic and proteomic profiles, specifically targeting the cysteine and methionine metabolism and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis pathways. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
