**FA-DOX-Ng** is an experimental folate receptor-targeted, doxorubicin-loaded chitosan nanogel developed as a pH-responsive nanomedicine for colorectal cancer. Folic-acid surface targeting is intended to enhance folate receptor-mediated uptake by tumor cells, while the chitosan nanogel carrier releases doxorubicin preferentially in acidic tumor-associated conditions. In HT-29 colorectal cancer cells, the formulation increased doxorubicin cytotoxicity and induced apoptosis, with reported modulation of PTEN, AKT, BAX, BCL2, and caspase-associated apoptotic signaling. It is a preclinical delivery formulation rather than an approved pharmaceutical product.
