**FA-HA-PtPdCo-TiO2** is a preclinical, near-infrared-responsive nanocatalyst system investigated for targeted treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The construct comprises titanium dioxide quantum dots deposited on polyhedral platinum-palladium-cobalt nanoparticles and surface-functionalized with folic acid and hyaluronic acid. Folic acid and hyaluronic acid promote accumulation in folate receptor- and CD44-expressing inflammatory cells. Under near-infrared irradiation, PtPdCo-TiO2 Schottky heterojunctions enhance electron transfer and photocatalytic hydrogen generation, supporting reactive oxygen species scavenging and photothermal activity. The material also has catalase-like activity that decomposes excess hydrogen peroxide to oxygen, aiming to reduce hypoxia, oxidative stress, and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis models. It is an academic research-stage nanotherapeutic without an assigned INN, brand name, clinical development program, or identified commercial developer.
