Overview

Small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting **fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4)** is an experimental RNA silencing drug designed to knock down expression of FABP4, a lipid chaperone involved in fatty acid metabolism, inflammation, and angiogenesis. FABP4 siRNA has been applied in preclinical models to investigate its potential therapeutic effects primarily in cancer, obesity, and metabolic diseases by reducing FABP4 expression, which can impact tumor growth, angiogenesis, inflammatory signaling, and lipid homeostasis through direct downregulation of FABP4 at the mRNA level[1][2][4][8].
