Overview
Fangzhi Decoction (防芷汤, Fáng Zhĭ Tāng) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation being evaluated for its efficacy in preventing gastrointestinal toxicity associated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer. In clinical studies, Fangzhi Decoction has demonstrated the ability to significantly reduce the incidence of severe (Grade 3-4) gastrointestinal toxicity and diarrhea, improve patients' physical condition (as measured by Karnofsky Performance Status), and enhance treatment compliance and immediate therapeutic benefits compared to other treatments like Kangfuxin.
