**FAPαc vaccine** is an experimental cancer vaccine designed to elicit an immune response against **fibroblast activation protein alpha (FAPα)**, a membrane-bound enzyme highly expressed by cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor microenvironment. By targeting FAPα-expressing CAFs, the vaccine aims to disrupt tumor stromal support, induce cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses, and enhance antitumor immunity. Preclinical studies show that FAPαc vaccine stimulates production of FAPα-specific antibodies and CD8+ T cell-mediated killing of FAPα-positive stromal cells, resulting in inhibited tumor growth in mouse models. Combination therapy with curcumin shows synergistic effects, further promoting anti-tumor responses by inhibiting immunosuppressive mechanisms such as IDO expression and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in the tumor microenvironment. The vaccine is under preclinical investigation for melanoma and breast cancer models[1][2][4][8].
