Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Far Biotech's STAT3 inhibitor is a preclinical-stage small molecule candidate discovered using the company's proprietary Quantum AI platform. It is designed to target and inhibit the Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3) protein, a transcription factor that is often constitutively active in many types of cancer. Overactive STAT3 signaling is associated with tumor cell proliferation, apoptosis resistance, angiogenesis, and suppression of the antitumor immune response. By blocking STAT3 activity, this drug candidate aims to inhibit tumor growth and potentially enhance immune recognition of cancer cells. The development program is currently in the preclinical phase, with Aragen serving as a research partner.
