Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fasudil hydrochloride + PD1 inhibitor is a combination therapy that pairs a Rho-kinase (ROCK) inhibitor with an immune checkpoint inhibitor. Fasudil hydrochloride is a potent and selective ROCK1/2 inhibitor that has been used in Japan since the 1990s for treating cerebral vasospasm following subarachnoid hemorrhage. PD1 inhibitors are a class of checkpoint inhibitor anticancer drugs that block the activity of PD-1 immune checkpoint proteins, preventing cancer cells from evading immune detection. This combination is being investigated for potential synergistic effects in cancer treatment, particularly in prostate cancer.
