Fasudil hydrochloride + tirapibep is an experimental combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Fasudil hydrochloride is a small molecule inhibitor of Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK), which plays a role in cell morphology, migration, and the tumor microenvironment. Tirapibep is a monoclonal antibody that acts as a checkpoint inhibitor by targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and destroy cancer cells. This combination is typically administered alongside androgen deprivation therapy (castration) to evaluate whether the synergistic effects of ROCK inhibition and PD-1 blockade can overcome resistance in advanced prostate cancer.
