FATE-NK100 + cetuximab is an investigational, combination cancer immunotherapy consisting of FATE-NK100, a donor-derived adaptive memory natural killer (NK) cell therapy, and cetuximab, an FDA-approved monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). FATE-NK100 is manufactured from healthy, CMV-seropositive donors utilizing ex vivo activation with IL-15 and a GSK3 inhibitor to produce highly functional CD57+ NKG2C+ NK cells with enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), persistence, and resistance to immune checkpoint inhibition. Cetuximab targets EGFR on tumor cells, facilitating the recruitment of NK cells and enhancing tumor cell destruction via ADCC. This combination is under investigation for its ability to improve anti-tumor immune responses in patients with EGFR-positive advanced solid tumors, including colorectal and head and neck cancers[1][4][8].
