Overview

FAV-201 is a patient-specific, recombinant immunotherapy designed for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. It is a therapeutic vaccine that utilizes unique proteins found on the surface of malignant T-cells from each individual patient to stimulate an active immune response against those cancer cells. The drug leverages a T-cell receptor-based approach to induce targeted immunity and was developed using insect cell lines to produce Id/KLH immunotherapies, which may enhance dendritic cell interaction and immune activation compared to mammalian cell-derived proteins. FAV-201 was initially developed by Favrille (later MMRGlobal) as part of their portfolio of personalized cancer vaccines[1][2][3][4][7].
