Fawound DS

Fawound DS is an oral combination medication developed and marketed by Prisure Medicare. It contains two proteolytic enzymes, bromelain (180mg) and trypsin (96mg), along with the antioxidant flavonoid rutoside (200mg). This formulation is primarily used to manage pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and post-operative or traumatic swelling. Bromelain and trypsin work synergistically to break down inflammatory mediators and fibrin, thereby improving microcirculation and reducing edema. Rutoside acts as an antioxidant to scavenge reactive oxygen species and stabilize capillary permeability, protecting tissues from oxidative stress and further damage. The medication is marketed in India for various inflammatory conditions, including sinusitis, bronchitis, and sports injuries.
