Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Faxomax M is an oral fixed-dose combination medication containing fexofenadine hydrochloride and montelukast sodium, marketed by Renomed Lifesciences. Fexofenadine is a second-generation, non-sedating H1-receptor antagonist that provides relief from allergic symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, and itchy eyes by selectively inhibiting peripheral histamine receptors. Montelukast is a selective cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the CysLT1 receptor, thereby reducing airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction. This combination is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis and the management of comorbid asthma in both adults and children. It is available in both tablet and suspension formulations as part of Renomed's wellness care product line.
