Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FB-2710 is an orally administered, glutamine-based medical food candidate being developed by Filament BioSolutions for the management of radiation-induced oral mucositis in patients with cancer receiving radiotherapy and/or chemoradiation. It is formulated to optimize the bioavailability and cellular uptake of glutamine, a critical nutrient and energy substrate for rapidly dividing cells, with the goal of supporting mucosal integrity and promoting healing of the oral epithelium during cytotoxic therapy.[1][7] FB-2710 is part of a portfolio of evidence-based oncology co-therapies and medical foods being advanced in partnership with Ajinomoto.[1][7]
