FB102-101 (also known as FB102) is a proprietary monoclonal antibody developed by Forte Biosciences that targets CD122, the beta subunit of the interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interleukin-15 (IL-15) receptors. By binding to CD122, FB102 modulates the signaling of IL-2 and IL-15, which are critical regulators of natural killer (NK) cells and pathogenic T cell subsets. This mechanism is designed to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by inhibiting the activity of these immune cells. The drug has been evaluated in a first-in-human Phase 1 SAD/MAD trial in healthy volunteers and a Phase 1b study in patients with celiac disease, where it demonstrated histological and symptomatic benefits. Forte Biosciences is being acquired by argenx due to the clinical potential of this asset.
