Overview
FB3002 is a long-acting combination therapy for the treatment of HIV-1 infection, developed by Frontier Biotech. It comprises **albuvirtide**, a long-acting HIV-1 fusion inhibitor that binds to the gp41 subunit of the viral envelope, and **3BNC117**, a broadly neutralizing antibody (bNAb) that targets the CD4 binding site on the gp120 subunit. This dual-mechanism approach is intended to provide a potent, long-acting maintenance regimen for HIV-infected individuals who have achieved virologic suppression, potentially reducing the burden of daily oral medication. Frontier Biotech licensed the rights to 3BNC117 from Rockefeller University for development in Greater China.
