Overview

FB7033 is a long-acting Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21) fusion protein candidate developed by Frontier Biotechnologies for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Utilizing the company's proprietary long-acting peptide technology platform, FB7033 is designed to mimic the metabolic benefits of endogenous FGF21, which include the regulation of lipid and glucose metabolism, improvement of insulin sensitivity, and reduction of hepatic fat accumulation, inflammation, and fibrosis. By extending the half-life of the FGF21 moiety, FB7033 aims to provide a potent and convenient therapeutic option for patients with chronic metabolic liver diseases. The drug is currently in the early stages of development, targeting the FGFR1/beta-Klotho receptor complex to address the underlying metabolic drivers of MASH.
